A Geeks Guide to Working Out

Many of us diggers would rather use the computer in our spare time rather than working out. The following is a good guide to help us find our "inner-world's strongest man" and to help us silence the call of the video games...if that's possible.

Affordable hydrogen fueled cars - Never buy gas again!

I've been watching this develop for about a year and it seems to be nearing production. This converts your EXISTING car to run on hydrogen, and best of all, they give you a hydrogen generator that you can run at your own home for little to no cost. Even if you aren't interested in this kind of thing, it's still a good read, plenty of pictures ;).

Churches uses Podcasting to reach more listeners

"NY Times story explores how religion is bridging the gap between the church and the techno-savvy generation. Story mentions the catholicinsider.com podcast, a really good listen as since it not only covers matters of the church but also discusses religious themes in STAR WARS and the HARRY POTTER series (things this geek loves)!"

I wonder if it would benefit Lake Hills do do something like this.

verse of the day

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be
against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how
will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
Romans
8:31-32/
NIVVerseoftheday.com
Thought... We know God paid a high price
to redeem and forgive us in Jesus. If he has gone to such great lengths to
purchase our pardon, what will he refuse us that is good, right and holy? So if
God answers our prayers "No!", then it is for our good and the eternal well
being of those for whom we've prayed. His intent is to bless, not wound. His
desire is to redeem. His commitment is to work things out for our ultimate good
(cf. Rom. 8:28) as he is transforming us to be more like his beloved Son (Rom.
8:29).
Prayer... Dear Father, I confess that I am sometimes impatient and
disappointed when my prayers do not seem to get the response I desire. Please
calm and quiet my doubting heart. Please remind my spirit of your rich grace.
Bring your comfort and assurance through the ministry of your Holy Spirit to my
human spirit. I do believe that you want to bring me your blessing and grace, so
while I may not always understand the bad things that happen in my life, I do
trust that you are at work to make them all turn for my good and your glory. In
Jesus' name. Amen.

So if I'm stuck where I'm at, it's for my own good.
A week ago the verse of the day was the one that goes "Father take this cup from me. But not my own will, but Yours". Who knows? Maybe I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
Maybe I'm supposed to be getting ulcers and insomnia.

Some scripts for WoW macros

// Using Actionbar for bandages
x = The "actionbar" that my bandages are on and
y = The "actionbar button" that my bandages are on.

What this enables you to do is keep your bandages in an arbitrary inventory slot. Plus if you have several stacks of bandages, you can use all of them without having to make multiple macros for multiple inventory slots as in the /UsecontainerItem(x,y) solution.

/target Axxessdenied
/script CURRENT_ACTIONBAR_PAGE = x
/script ChangeActionBarPage();
/script ActionButtonDown(y);
/script ActionButtonUp(y);
/script CURRENT_ACTIONBAR_PAGE = 1
/script ChangeActionBarPage();
/script TargetLastEnemy();

//using different heal based on your current health
/script local ow = 1; if ((UnitHealthMax("player")/3) > UnitHealth("player")) then ow = ow + 1; end if (UnitCanCooperate("player","target")) then TargetUnit("player"); end UseContainerItem(2, ow); if( SpellIsTargeting()) then TargetUnit("player"); end

Relationship with God

I've really been thinking about that
lately.
The Good News is that God wants to have a relationship with
us as our heavenly father, and it's possible through Jesus,
God's "human interface".
I've been focusing on God in a particular way.. trying to
think of him as father. Kinda like when I was a little kid,
and my dad seemed like a superhero, could do no wrong.
That's a type of worship, actually. I go to God for advice
just like I'd go to Dad for advice. I ask and expect him
to take care of my needs, just like I did with my dad when
I was a kid.
And I remember to be grateful, and try not to take the
relationship for granted. We are so blessed!

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!

So let's see. I proposed to Jen in October, and on Feb. 12 2005 we were married! I've moved in to her place, and we're preparing to sell the condo. Nathan has adjusted well. He loves his room.. huge bunkbed, bottom bunk is a full. Spider man sheets. Posters all over the walls.
Jen and I are perfect for each other. We fought it for a long time, but now we finally admit that God meant us to find each other. Otherwise, it's just too uncanny that we can finish each other's sentences and we've only known each other for less than 1 year!
I'm finishing up my contract with the Cal. State Department of Conservation. I'm interviewing this week for a couple jobs. Yesterday was for a java position, I don't think it would be a good fit.
This afternoon will be for a job in El Dorado Hills, doing .Net programming. Thad (best man in wedding) already works there, and turned me on to the opportunity. I hope it goes well.
